Four Tips to Ensure Your Massage Sticks.

To ensure lasting results between massages, it's important to engage in activities that support overall well-being, promote relaxation, and maintain the benefits gained from the massage session. Here are four things you can do between massages:

Stay Hydrated: How much water you should drink is dependent on the person, but the general rule is to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. Consume hydrating foods like fruits and vegetables. Keep in mind that while coffee and tea are not dehydrating by themselves, they are diuretics and can lead you to rid of fluids more quickly! I use a 50 oz water bottle so I only have to refill my water bottle twice daily.

Movement: You don't have to go to the gym 7 days a week to move. Some of the most basic ways to move are the best for you. A 5-minute stretch routine, short daily walk outside or on the treadmill, or YouTube yoga video are some great ways to add movement into your schedule.

Destressing Techniques: HA. Destress in this world? I get it. Between the wars, climate, politics and inflation etc etc it seems impossible (and sometimes selfish) to destress, but stress has a major impact on how we hold ourselves and how our bodies perform. Some of my favorite destressing techniques are: 5-minute-deep breathing before bed, going for a walk, or just being outside. If you find that you are constantly overwhelmed, try changing your environment for even a couple minutes.

Maintain Good Posture: Sit with your back straight and shoulders relaxed while working at a desk. Use ergonomic furniture, such as an adjustable chair and keyboard tray, to support proper posture. Take frequent breaks to stand up, stretch, and walk around, especially if you've been sitting for an extended period.

These are a few examples that illustrate practical ways to incorporate hydration, movement, destressing techniques, and good posture into your daily routine to complement the benefits of massage therapy and promote overall well-being. If you need some more examples send us a message and we can try to help you figure something out.
